New building of a City Shopping Centre

The Shopping Centre Carl-Blechen-Carré is with about 50 millions EUR total investment costs one of the civic major project in Cottbus. The new building comprises about 20,000 m² retail and trade area as well as 450 parking lots for stuff and visitors. The finishing is likely to be in Autumn 2008.

For the land development of the project some service repositions or service renewals have been necessary. For example, the civic main sewer, which crossed the area to be covered with buildings, had to be knocked down and to be places new in another axis.
The expenses for such works could be faced by the investor with the selling price of the lot. Therefore the city Cottbus demanded as owner of the lot an expert’s report.

KVL has been charged to find out proficiency levels, to execute quantity determination and to control the costs for the works estimated by the investor or the executing general contractor on their plausibility.
